中華航空於美國西雅圖當地時間10/3 10:00,在波音西雅圖交機中心(Everett Delivery Center)舉行首架777-300ER客機交機典禮。
由華航董事長孫洪祥、波音公司商用飛機總裁兼首席執行長雷•康納(Ray Conner)共同主持,
駐美國台北經濟文化代表處大使沈呂巡、駐西雅圖台北經濟文化辦事處處長金星、華航品牌首席設計師陳瑞憲先生等貴賓與會見證。

777-300ER是世界上最成功的雙引擎長程飛機,相較其他類似機種,重量減輕19%,產生的二氧化碳也減少22%。

華航2012年宣布引進10架777-300ER客機,配備新一代設計的 GE90-115BL型發動機,2014年至2016年間陸續交付。
高效能環保的設計,預估每架航機一年可為華航節省新台幣3億元支出。
中華航空董事長孫洪祥致詞時表示,波音777-300ER機隊的引進是華航一個重要的里程碑。
華航從2年多前開始規劃嶄新的客艙設計,在「更安全」、「更節油」之外,
希望有別於一般飛機空間設計,注入人文、台灣文創、東方之美的元素,再融合現代科技與設計重新詮釋與呈現。
相信這個全新的嘗試,不僅對台灣、甚至對國際航空產業都會產生影響,對國際市場上的競爭力非常有信心。

華航777-300ER客機共358座,配備40席豪華商務艙、62席豪華經濟艙、256席經濟艙,
客艙整體設計以承載東方美學為主軸,兼顧環保與科技進展。
品牌首席設計師陳瑞憲帶領國際級設計師團隊,以台灣人的角度重新詮釋經典美學,強化華航品牌與再生,
透過華航綿密的航網,讓旅客感受中華航空獨有的文人氣質,讓世界看到台灣的驕傲。

走進華航新世代777-300ER客機,機艙以全球首創的柿木紋設計,配合旅客作息設定的情境式燈光,營造獨特的空間感。

豪華商務艙旅客可享受頭等艙等級、全長78吋 (198公分)、180 度全平躺的寬敞座椅,感受文人書齋、夜燈伴讀的非凡體驗。

波音總裁兼CEO, Ray Conner表示,華航是波音重要客戶,50年來幾乎使用過波音各種機型,如今新機設計是他見過最美麗、驚艷的內裝。

華航首次推出的豪華經濟艙,椅距加大達 39 吋 (100公分),
固定式椅背的設計,讓座椅傾斜時不會打擾到後座,個人乘坐空間也不受前座乘客之干擾。

經濟艙的座椅採薄型化椅背設計,增加了膝蓋至前方椅背的距離、後仰角度擴大近 120 度,提供更佳的乘坐空間。
同時,經濟艙配備亞洲第一的「親子臥艙 Family Couch」,較一般經濟艙座椅多了腿靠墊的設計,
展平後與前方座背形成獨立空間,讓長途飛行更舒適。

華航新世代777-300ER客機,最大的特色是以宋代詩人陸游「憶昔輕裝萬里行,水郵山驛不論程」的意境,
在豪華商務艙中間,首創將天花板挑高設置 Sky Lounge,作為旅客休憩的空間,更是台灣文化的平台。


左側為「文創茶品區」,提供代表東方的台灣在地精選六款茶品,
包括:炭香凍頂烏龍茶、清香阿里山烏龍茶、清香杉林溪茶、清香梨山烏龍茶、東方美人茶及日月潭紅茶;
右側「時尚咖啡區」展示代表西方的香醇膠囊咖啡及台灣在地栽種的東山咖啡,搭配經典西點。
中間吧檯區供應調酒、佐酒小點心與元氣海鮮、濃辛椎茸精裝杯麵,
每款包裝都是設計師搭配客艙整體空間,精心打造華航獨有的設計。


兩側形似書架的空間,也會提供每月精選中英文好書。
Sky Lounge提供融合東西方文化哲學的旅行生活空間,
展現台灣最讓人驚豔的文創體驗及東方靜謐的文人飲食文化,創造有品味的旅行新主張。


華航新世代777-300ER客機引進業界最先進的Panasonic eX3 機上娛樂系統,內附免費空中社交軟體「Seat Chat」,
將整架客機變成大型空中聊天室。豪華商務艙螢幕為18吋、豪華經濟艙與經濟艙分別為12.1吋與11.1吋,皆為領先業界的配備。

新機提供Wi-Fi 服務,在飛機飛行高度達10,000英呎時自動開啟,
收費方式分為1小時美金11.95元、3小時美金16.95元與24小時美金21.95元。

華航首架777-300ER預計於台北時間10月4日晚上10時飛抵桃園機場,整備後將先飛行區域航線;
12月起,華航將以777-300ER執行台北往返洛杉磯班機;
2015年開始,陸續投入台北—紐約、台北—舊金山航線的營運。
華航第二架與第三架777-300ER飛機分別規劃於2014年10月與11月交機,屆時華航集團機隊將達91架規模。

China Airlines Takes Delivery of Next Generation

Boeing 777-300ER in Seattle
On October 3, 2014, China Airlines took delivery of its first 777-300ER passenger aircraft at Boeing’s Everett Delivery Center in Seattle. China Airlines Chairman Huang-Hsiang Sun and Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Ray Conner hosted a ceremony to celebrate the delivery of China Airlines’ next generation aircraft, attended by Shen Lyu-shun, the Ambassador of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO), Andy Chin, Director General of TECRO in Seattle, and China Airlines Chief Designer Ray Chen, among other guests.
The Boeing 777-300ER is the world’s most successful twin-engine, long-haul jet. Compared to similar aircraft models, it weighs 19% less and represents a 22% reduction in carbon emissions. In 2012, China Airlines announced that it will introduce 10 Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft to its fleet between 2014 and 2016. Equipped with the next generation GE90-115BL engine, the 777-300ER aircraft was designed for energy efficiency. Each 777-300ER plane will save China Airlines an estimated NT$300 million a year.
During the ceremony, China Airlines Chairman Huang-Hsiang Sun said the introduction of the Boeing 777-300ER fleet is an important milestone for China Airlines. Over the past two years, China Airlines has taken a brand new approach and philosophy to cabin design. In addition to enhancing safety and fuel efficiency, China Airlines is injecting an appreciation for history and culture, Taiwan’s cultural creativity, and Oriental beauty into its cabin interior, while also incorporating modern technology. China Airlines is making a pioneering move in the airline industry, which will leave a lasting impression on passengers and enhance its competitiveness.
“China Airlines has been a valued Boeing customer for over 50-years and we are honored to celebrate the milestone delivery of their first 777-300ER,” said Ray Conner, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “The airline’s new 777-300ER represents the beginning of a new era for China Airlines and the people of Taiwan. As the many Boeing models before it, we are confident that the 777-300ER will continue to help China Airlines open up new markets and expand its horizons, as they continue to achieve tremendous success.”

China Airlines’ 777-300ER passenger aircraft has a capacity of 358 seats: 40 seats in Premium Business Class, 62 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 256 seats in Economy Class. The cabin space showcases Oriental beauty as well as advances in technology and environmental protection. Created by Chief Designer Ray Chen and his world-class team, the cabin design is a reinterpretation of classic aesthetics through Taiwanese lens, encapsulating China Airlines’ brand essence and evolution. Through China Airlines’ extensive flight network, passengers from around the world will be able to experience the cultural finesse of China Airlines.
In an industry first, the cabin interior of China Airlines’ next generation 777-300ER aircraft features a wood grain design, along with mood lighting to form a unique space. Passengers in Premium Business Class can enjoy full-flat 78-inch spacious seats that are comparable to First Class seats. With the introduction of the 777-300ER, China Airlines is launching a new Premium Economy Class, featuring expanded 39-inch legroom and a fixed backshell design, so passengers reclining their seats won’t interrupt travelers in the row behind them.
In Economy Class, seatbacks are thinner and recline to 120 degrees, giving passengers more legroom and comfort. Also in Economy Class, a family of three can enjoy Asia’s first Family Couch by raising their footrests to convert their seats into a single sofa bed.
The defining feature of China Airlines’ next generation 777-300ER aircraft lies in its poetic beauty, inspired by Song Dynasty poet Lu You. The industry’s first high-ceiling Sky Lounge in Premium Business Class thoughtfully integrates Eastern and Western culture. It serves as a relaxing space for passengers and a platform for showcasing Taiwanese culture. The Eastern “Literary Tea-tasting Area” on the left offers six selected teas from Taiwan: Charcoal Tung Ting Oolong Tea, Alishan Oolong Tea, Shan Lin Xi Tea, Lishan Oolong Tea, Oriental Beauty Tea, and Sun Moon Lake Black Tea. The Western “Fashionable Coffee Area” on the right provides aromatic coffee in coffee capsules and locally grown coffee that go well with Western pastry. The bar in the middle offers cocktails, tapas and cup noodles. Sky Lounge represents Taiwan’s impressive cultural and creative experience and the Oriental tranquility found in the food culture of the literati. The bookshelf-like space on the two sides of Sky Lounge provides a selection of Chinese and English books of the month, which immerses busy passengers in a relaxing setting of literature and taste.
The new aircraft is equipped with the Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system, which features a social networking function called “Seat Chat”, allowing passengers on the same flight to message one another. The in-flight entertainment system boasts the industry’s biggest screens: 18-inch screen in Premium Business Class, 12.1-inch screen in Premium Economy Class, and 11.1-inch screen in Economy Class. When flying above 10,000 feet, passengers can enjoy Wi-Fi service for a fee starting at US$11.95 for one hour, US$16.95 for three hours, and US$21.95 for 24 hours.
China Airlines’ first 777-300ER aircraft will arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport around 10 p.m. on October 4, and it will start serving regional routes on October 10. The aircraft will be used for the Taoyuan-Los Angeles route starting in December and Taoyuan-New York and Taoyuan-San Francisco routes starting in 2015. China Airlines will take delivery of its second and third 777-300ER aircraft in October and November of this year, respectively, brining China Airlines Group’s total fleet to 91 aircraft.
